Black Alumni Council Explores
the Past and Future

Westminster’s Black Alumni Council, formed in summer 2020, has developed mission and vision statements that express the ways the group plans to support students and Westminster’s 500+ Black alumni.
"As a member of this dynamic group, I can honestly attest to its focus and passion in making sure that all students at Westminster will receive a holistic education that embraces equity and values the presence of diversity on campus."
Vision
To transform the Wildcat experience by being catalysts for connections and community so all Black Wildcats are valued and embraced for their authentic selves.
Mission
The Black Alumni Council exists to support Westminster in fulfilling its call for equity and inclusivity by striving to produce a thriving and vibrant community that embraces all members and produces leaders who lead with compassion and integrity, by pursuing the following aims:
Reconciliation • Re-engagement • Representation • Recruitment • Renewal
The Shared Experiences of Black Alumni
The Black Alumni Council’s inaugural community event, “The Shared Experiences of Black Alumni, ” premiered via video at the end of February. Three alumni, interviewed by friends, classmates, and family members, share about their Westminster years and their personal and career journeys since graduation.
